Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Cooper Webb will miss Round 2 of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross from Glen Helen after sustaining two torn ligaments and an ankle sprain at the opening round at Hangtown last weekend. Webb announced on Instagram that he hopes to return at Round 6 of the series at Budds Creek.

Webb released the following statement on Instagram:

Unfortunately I will not be lining up at Glen Helen this weekend. I suffered 2 torn ligaments and another ankle sprain at Hangotwn last weekend in the 2nd Moto. As of right now we felt like it would be best to get my ankle back to 100% instead of going racing half ass. Bummed to be missing a few rounds and to have to take time off but I WILL be back and better then ever fully healed. Thanks to all you guys for the support and understanding hope to see everyone back at Budds Creek.
