NASCAR on Friday afternoon released its entry list for the 58th annual Daytona 500, scheduled for Feb. 21 at noon ET on FOX.

With 43 entries and a field of just 40 drivers based on the rules of NASCAR’s new charter system, three drivers will fail to make The Great American Race and go home early.

With 36 drivers guaranteed automatic entry into the race per the new charter system procedures, seven drivers will battle it out for the four remaining spots in the 40-car field.

Qualifying for the Daytona 500 begins at 1 p.m. ET Sunday and will be televised live on FOX. Only the front row will be locked in, with the rest of the starting grid to be determined in two Can-Am Duel qualifying races on Thursday night.
